Ini Edo’s Marriage Crashes, Returns Bride Price To Husband
Nigerian actress Ini Edo, who got married to her American-based businessman, Phillip in 2008, was said to have snatched him from another beautiful lady. And the lady is still angry with her, as at the last time we checked. Since 2008, she hasn’t been able to give her man a child yet she is accusing him of cheating.
According to source,A close friend of the actress squealed that the marriage broke down due to very strong allegations of ‘serial cheating with evidence’ but that the couple who are pretending to still be in talking terms might cite irreconcilable differences. “The source alleged that Phillips Ehiagwina demanded to have back the bride price he paid to marry Ini Edo and his wishes were granted by her people.”

Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, has confirmed the crash of her marriage with U.S based Phillip Ehiagwina. She denied ever cheating on her husband, she cited irreconcilable differences with many industry watchers suggesting that it might not be unconnected with her inability to get pregnant during the six years union.

Exposed: Popular Actor Fingered In Ini Edo’s Crashed Marriage
All is not well at the moment. The Akwa Ibom actress has unceremoniously taken away the appellation ‘wife’ from her profile. Some days after the news of her marriage break-up hit public, the Glo Ambassador broke her silence and came out to clear the air.
What Ini told the world
She tweeted via @ini4phil, “I asked for a divorce from my my ex-husband because of lots of irreconcilable differences. I never cheated on my husband.” Ini Edo’s response came after allegations of infidelity were leveled against her.

It now seems that US-based Nigerian born actress cum Medical Practitioner, Ruth Okoro who was formerly married to Phillip Ehiagwina may now be having the last laugh. Okoro recently shared a message that she wrote to Ini Edo seven years ago, where she warned the actress not to marry her hubby.

On how they met, Phillip opened up in a 2008 interview. “Ini and I met during one of my visits to Nigeria. I saw many good qualities in her, we clicked and now, the rest is history,” he revealed.
For the couple, ‘it was simply love at first sight’. The transcontinental distance between the couple did not affect their relationship. In November 2008, Ini and Phillip celebrated their traditional wedding ceremony in Ini’s hometown amid fears.
On Saturday, February 28, the lovebirds walked down the aisle at a very colourful ceremony in Houston, Texas, USA. The ceremony was attended by guests such as Oge Okoye and Festus Keyamo among others. All that are now history as the centre could no longer hold between the couple based on incessant allegations of infidelity from the once doting and loving hubby.

Nollywood Actor,Mr IBU Turns 54
John Okafor popularly known as Mr.Ibu turned 54, last Sunday and the comic actor rolled out drums to mark his birthday in grand style.
He threw a birthday bash that had all the trappings of a five star event in Owerri, with Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State in attendance. Rochas was represented at the event which held at Rock View hotels, by one of his Commissioners,Hon. Uche Nwosu.
Also, in attendance were Nollywood stars including Chinyere Winfred, Offialagu Mbaka, Dauda, Jericho, Emeka Rollas, Ajebo, Kakaki,Chinyere Udoma, Dunhil, Adin Williams and one time John player world dancing champion, Issac Chinagorum. Popular musicians like Xbuster and Ibeh Chukwuneke a.k.a MC Chuks thrilled the audience with their scintillating tunes and performances that held the audience spellbound.
Interestingly, at the event, the comic-actor was presented with the Best Movie Actor of the Year award, by the Peace Ambassadors Of Nigeria. Presented to him by Mr. Okey Nwuzor popularly called Don Singles, the award was earlier received on behalf of Mr. Ibu at a ceremony organized by the group in Abuja.

Has getting married influenced the kind of roles you take as an actress?
I love what I do as an actress, but I have my limits personally not necessarily because I am married. Out of respect for my husband, I do not accept roles where I get to kiss a male character. It is not because he puts a restriction on it, but I avoid it out of respect for him and my son who watches most of the movies I’ve been in.
So, I wouldn’t want him, at this age, to get a wrong notion or wrong interpretation of who mummy is or what mummy is doing. He is just four. As they say, first impression on children counts; so, I wouldn’t want that to happen.
It is expected that you husband, a foreigner, will be more liberal than the Nigerian man…
(Cuts in) My husband is very liberal; but as I said, I avoid kissing in movies out of respect for him. It is my personal choice; I respect him that much not to do that. Also, it is out of respect for my son. Yes, he is a child, but I do respect him as he respects me as his mother. It is a personal choice.
Again, my husband is a foreigner, like you put it, but he was born in Kano; so, he understands the tradition of the Nigerian people. He understands our cultures and our values. As a Delta girl, I respect the tradition and culture too and I have a family who watches me. As I said, it is a personal thing. I don’t want people taking it differently.
How did you meet your husband?
We met at a friend’s office. It wasn’t love at first sight. A couple of months down the road, we started dating and we got married.
Doesn’t the issue cultural differences come between you?
He was born in Kano, though he didn’t grow up there. He came visiting a lot of the time, while he was growing up. So, he understands the Nigerian tradition and he has been back in Nigeria for well over 15 years. So, he is a ‘Nigerian’.

I Never Chased pawpaw Out Of My House- Aki Cries Out

Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, has reacted to speculations that he told his co-actor and friend, Osita Iheneme, also known as Pawpaw, to vacate the apartment they both lived in.
The pint-size actor laughed off the rumour, stressing that there was no clash or disagreement between them. He explained that the owner of the property they were occupying claimed he wanted to make use of it, which made Pawpaw to vacate it.
In his words, Aki said, “We are not same twins, I am from Abia and he is from Imo. It’s just that we are good friends. It is not bad we go our separate ways, though; we are not far fromeach other.”
Aki expressed happiness in working with his friend and described their meeting as ‘divine connection’. He added that despite their heights, fame still located and smiled on them.
According to him, “The coming together of Aki and Paw Paw was a prestige to us and a plus to the industry because it was a usual way of shooting movies before we were discovered, especially witchcraft or any other movie.
“The whole thing changed when we came on board. We brought stories that happened to us personally to the screen and before we knew it, the combination became hot cake in the market.”
